The Crystal Museum features a stunning array of mineral treasures, carefully selected from deposits in France, Europe, and around the world. You will begin your journey along the ridges of the Alps, exploring precious minerals from the Alpine regions of France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and notably the Mont Blanc area. Here, you can admire world-renowned minerals such as rose-colored fluorite, smoky quartz, axinite, siderite, and epidote.

The exhibition will also take you on a world tour, starting from the mines and quarries of France, where you will discover iconic mineral treasures from all five continents. In France, you will be introduced to the azurite of Chessy-les-Mines, whose deep blue veins will leave you mesmerized. From Pakistan comes the renowned aquamarine, celebrated for its clear, pure blue color and dazzling brilliance. Peru's pyrite showcases nature's wondrous craftsmanship with its crystal structures and color variations that are truly breathtaking. Meanwhile, the doubly refractive stones from Congo and Australia's opals reveal the mystery and diversity hidden deep within the Earth.

New Experience: The Treasure Discovery Tour


A new highlight of the museum is the "Treasure (Le Trésor)" exhibit. Here, you will find precious metals such as gold, silver, and copper, alongside gemstones like sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. Whether in their raw form or polished to perfection, these treasures are sure to captivate your attention and leave you in awe.


During school holidays, every Thursday from 14:00 to 16:00, you can participate in guided tours led by miners from the Chamonix Mineralogy Club. They will take you on an exploration of the mineral treasures in the Mont Blanc region, offering insights into the world of mineral hunters.

Ticket Prices:

  • Full Adult Ticket: 7.30 euros

  • Students and other discounted groups: 5.30 euros

  • Children under 18: Free entry

  • Museum Pass: 15 euros, allows unlimited visits to all museums in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley within one year.
